Jonisbal Renders 2012 BMW M5 Touring

On the heels of BMW’s unveiling of its new F11 5-Series Touring, venerable rendering master Jonisbal has tackled the next M5 Touring. Although BMW has yet to ever confirm a 5-door variant of their next generation M5, chances are pretty good. When it is unveiled (probably about a year from now), look for a twin-turbocharged 4.4L V8 churning around 560hp. Power will be sent via BMW’s magical 7-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission to the rear wheels. If BMW’s production M5 Touring looks anything like the masterpiece Jonisbal has penned, we have no doubt sales of the Touring will accumulate quickly.
The F11 M5 Touring will go head to head with Mercedes 2012 E63 AMG, which will also be packing a new twin-turbocharged eight-cylinder engine. If Audi has not revised their twin-snail V10 powered RS6 Avant, European buyers will have a wide assortment of boosted 500+ horsepower wagons to choose from in two years. Viva Boost!
